Algeria censures French president’s comments on frontier past

Algeria on Saturday gave an explanation that denounced the French president’s comments on the provincial past, reports Anadolu Agency.

The assertion by the Algerian Presidency that was communicated on state TV said, “Macron’s comments are an inadmissible affront to the memory of over 5.63 million saints who forfeited themselves with a bold opposition against French imperialism (between 1830–1962).”

It said various pioneer wrongdoings carried out by France are destruction against the Algerian public and noted assertions credited to Macron were not formally denied.

It said Algeria rejects impedance in its inside undertakings and the Algerian Ambassador to Paris Mohammed Anter Davud has been reviewed for interviews.

Macron said something about Algeria on Thursday and faulted the country for contempt against France.

“Was there an Algerian country before French colonization? That is the issue,” he said.
