The planning committee of China has laid down a foundational plan for 2035 which will primarily focus on modernisation drive that the XI Jinping rule wants to bring in the country.

As per the plenary of Chinese Communitst Party that was conducted for four years, President of the Asian powerhouse XI Jinping talked about innovation and technology but also kept the vision of 2035 that further clarifies the President’s objective of keeping the power to himself till 2035.

In an unusual scene, President XI, who always refrains from talking about the future and considers not to discuss his plans in advance but since last year, has been making open announcements about his ‘not leaving from power’ attitude.

He has made it clear that he does not intend to walk away from power even after completing his two terms in 2022. It was a controversial decision by the present Chinese rule when they decided to scrap the original rule in the constitution of changing the President every two years. The 67-year-old Xi has established himself as one the most powerful Communist faces to have existed since Mao Zedong.

China has been a little more invested in the foregn relations that usual. The foreign relations have taken a turn into something more desperate, which is power. The aim of the present Chinese rule is control over Asia and it is slowly moving toward its goal.

The example can be drawn from Sri Lanka where when the United States Secretary of States Mike Pompeo went to talk alliance against the China controlling the Asian region but the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa reportedly told the US team about the island’s reluctance to take sides especially after China had invested such huge sum in developmental projects.

Over the years China has been increasing investments in war struck or backward nations like Sudan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and a strategically important nation — Maldives.

Experts who have been analysing China’s activities have said, “This is not a democracy where there is a possibility that the leadership can change after a certain period.”

This is a crucial time when the US elections are on the way. Though many say that Donal Trump’s counter in the elections Joe Biden is unlikely to bring any major change to what is going on. But one thing is certain that he will not be as hard on China as Trump and that may be why Xi Jinping is looking to continue his rule.
