Global Harmony is Needed for a Pandemic Recovery
I want to share something influencial here in my reading. The UN is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The United Nations, born out of the horrors of the Second World War, was founded as a collective effort for humanity to save successive generations from the scourge of war, to promote and protect human rights, and to advance progress and prosperity throughout the world.
Looking at it, Once again, the international community faces a human tragedy; a threat that puts decades of progress and growth at risk. The pandemic of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an ongoing global health epidemic with significant economic and social effects, the biggest epidemic since World War II and at a time when more national-centered policies have questioned multilateralism. Are we going to get stronger and more prepared to work together? Or is mistrust and alienation going to increase further?
