Gulf leaders attend the opening of the Winter Olympics in China

The Emir of Qatar, Sheik Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Bin Zayed, went to the initial function of the 2022 Winter Olympics, being held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, until 20 February.

The Qatari Amiri Diwan expressed that the initial function of the 24th Winter Olympics was held under the trademark “Together for a Common Future”, at the Bird’s Nest Stadium.

Various nations and associations have required a blacklist of the Winter Olympics because of China’s proceeded with denials of basic freedoms of Uyghur Muslims in the Xinjiang territory.

On 6 December, Washington announced that it would not send any strategic portrayal to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. In the resulting days, the UK, Canada, and Australia stuck to this same pattern.
