Hamas has called for a critical activity to shield Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli unearthings that are imperiling its establishments.

In an explanation given yesterday, Hamas said the “proceeded with unearthings completed by the Zionist occupation experts in the space of the Al-Buraq Wall and the Umayyad castles are an immediate danger to the establishments and walls of the favored Al-Aqsa Mosque, and an endeavor to demolish the Islamic and verifiable milestones of the city of Jerusalem.”

It said it considered Israel completely liable for the repercussions of this serious infringement and approached the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan which is the caretaker of Al-Aqsa Mosque “to move desperately to shut down these malevolent pioneer plans to safeguard Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

Prior, the Council of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sanctuaries in the city of Jerusalem said it is following with “intense concern” the “unearthings” that Israel is directing nearby Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The committee included an explanation that the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Elad settlement affiliation have been directing “dubious and baffling unearthings” nearby Al-Aqsa Mosque, particularly close to the southern and western sides contiguous to the outer underpinning of the mosque. The Israeli specialists didn’t give a quick remark on the committee’s proclamation.
