The Gulf Security Offered by Russia Has it’s Unexpected Response for Support

I want to share my thoughts about the reading I had today. It’s about how Russia’s Gulf Defense plan fails to gain support. In this issue, most speakers indicated that the concept was premature due to a lack of faith among the region’s main players.

Looking at it, It is unfortunate that Moscow, in addition to the region’s goodwill towards Russia and its influence with Iran, has not used its UNSC position to urge Tehran to adhere to the principles of the UN and to cease its destabilizing activities in the region. Moscow might urge Iran, along the lines of the Cold War-era Helsinki Accords, to make a transparent and unambiguous commitment to the values of the UN Charter which is invoked by Lavrov and others.
