Many activists from the Tunisian Youth Environment Development yesterday coordinated a protest before the capital’s Civil Performance center to request “an environment highly sensitive situation” be proclaimed in the country.

“We are young fellows and ladies assembled before the civil performance center to request our right to a solid climate and our entitlement to water and life,” said Ahmed Al-Hajj Al-Tayeb, the development’s secretary-general.

Al-Hajj Al-Tayeb said: “Environmental change has influenced Tunisia and is viewed as the greatest fiasco undermining the country. In this way, we assembled here today to request the President [Kais Saied] and the State head [Najla Bouden] pronounce an environment highly sensitive situation, and that implies the acknowledgment that environmental change undermines the existence of residents and Tunisia at all levels.”

He said the public authority must “take on another harmless to the ecosystem monetary methodology like environmentally friendly power, natural cultivating, and manageable water.”

“Today we request environment equity and ecological schooling to instruct and educate kids.”

The Tunisian Youth Environment Development was established in 2019 Tunisia by youthful activists with an end goal to help ecological maintainability. It expects to “protect a sound and manageable future for the present and people in the future”, as per its missing assertion.
